It is time to get serious about something, girls. Today is the day to understand the battle. Yes, we are all princesses clothed in beautiful robes in Jesus, but girl-friend, those robes better come with boxing gloves because we have a real fight on our hands.
Satan is the father of lies. Satan was a murderer from the beginning and has nothing to do with truth. (John 8: 44). And let me tell you what: cold, conniving, deceitful, slimy murderer he is.
Murderer of dreams.
Murderer of truth,
Murderer of marriages.
Murderer of hope. (What a blockhead to be a murderer of hope.)
Murderer of our peace.
Murderer of our brains, our emotions and our perceptions.
Murderer of our freedom.
He makes my teeth grate.
My friend’s son has cancer and satan is dancing on that family’s doorstep. He wants to kill their hope and I am not going to let him. I am praying him out in the name of Jesus. He hates what happens at the Liberty Women’s Clinic every single day and I can see him trying to wiggle is slimy, scaly body through our cracks and I am praying him out in the name of Jesus. He has spoken far too many lies into my precious mind (and maybe yours, too) and I am calling him out — in the powerful name of Jesus.
Because let me explain the dynamic here:
“We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
So this poses a question: Do we ever think about this battle? The way Pastor John Piper quotes this question is, “Do you know what hunts you?” (1 Peter 5:8)
And the other fact of the matter is that God will grant satan permission to hunt us. It does happen. We see it all over scripture and we see it in our own lives.
“Satan demanded to have you that he might sift you like wheat.” Luke 22:31
But dear girl, do not lose hope. Do not in any way lose hope. The disciples faced intense persecution but they did not lose their expectations that come from serving a Mighty God.
“In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith — more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire — may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 1:7-8)
Yes, you are being hunted. But don’t you dare lose hope. Not for today. Not for tomorrow. Cling to Him. Pray your guts out before your good Dad. Kick satan out. Crush his head in the name of Jesus. Live free. Grasp onto faith, onto your inheritance, onto all the truth and wring out the lies.
It is for freedom that you have been set free! That is the truth. Don’t give way to the lies.
And if you want a battle plan.
Let’s set one:
Read the Word.
Pray like crazy.
Trust in God.
Carry on, dear warrior. Fight hard today for truth.
