The Son of God came to serve, not to be served. And that’s the example we are to follow. But when we serve we find great joy.
It’s a paradoxical kingdom we live in as believers. We find the greatest joy not when we get and get and get, but when we give and give and give. We are entering Christmastime, which disguises itself as a giving season, but if we aren’t careful, we can come out on the other hand more focused on receiving.
May we be the ones that give sacrificially – even when it doesn’t make sense. May we give time – even though we are busier than ever. May we give of ourselves – more than gifts and items. Join Michael and Whitney Putnam as they discuss what it means to live generously.
And, we want to hear from you! How do you plan on giving this year? What special things do you do?
