Prayer With Us: Endure and Persevere in All Circumstances
I pray today I can tie up my running shoes and run the race set before me. I admit I cannot do this on my own. My flesh would rather stay in bed (because enduring is hard work) or go out into the world with the intention to blend in with everyone else. But You ask more of me. Not because I am special or stronger, but because I am called by You.
I confess that ________________ causes me to stumble and ______________ ensnares me until I’m useless for the Your work. I lay it aside. I lay it at Your feet. Thank you for always forgiving me.
Thank you that I can draw strength from those who have gone before me. Thank you that Your word is a lamp unto my feet.
Thank you that I can keep my eyes on You and that I can be weak because you are strong. Father, teach me Your ways. You are made greater in my weakness. Less of me, more of You.
Thank you that You also have given me your church. Help me to have the courage to allow others into my race with me. I know you have created us as one body; help me to partake as a member of the hope of the world!
Father, Your word is my lamp and encouragement. Your Spirit is my comfort and strength. Your church is my family. Thank you that I never have to endure alone.
You are so good.
